The St. Marys Catholic Elementary School System is comprised of two schools, an elementary school which hosts preschool through grade five, and a middle school which hosts grades six through eight.

Mission

The mission of the St. Marys Catholic Elementary and Middle Schools is to provide each child the highest quality education in an environment of Catholic morals and values.

Primary Reasons for Choosing
Catholic Education

Parents choose our schools primarily for four reasons: an excellent academic program, fair and enforced discipline, a Catholic faith-based environment, and a strong, up-to-date technology program.

Academics

We have a very strong academic program. In standardized testing, our students move themselves further and further ahead of national norms, so by middle school they are well above national averages. Our average class size in the elementary is 18 and in the middle is 23. We continually upgrade our technology program to stay current. Our discipline code is fair and enforced. Students can develop their talents and become leaders through many special programs and extra-curricular activities.

Faith-Based Education

In the Catholic Church, parents are responsible for nurturing the seeds of faith given to their children in Baptism. There is no better place to plant a seed than in good soil and that is exactly what happens when a child attends a Catholic school. Our schools are the fertile soil where academics and faith may develop as children grow into teenagers and later adults.

Catholic schools are different because they are faith-based. What does that mean? God and prayer are a natural part of every day. The morals and values our children receive are firmly rooted in the teachings of the Gospel. Our children are taught how to address ethical concerns in relation to God. They are taught that responsibilities to oneself and others, high expectations, and civility come from the fundamental belief that we are all children of God and worthy of such endeavors. The schools help with the whole development of the child: mind, body and soul.

Affording Catholic Education

There is a cost for Catholic education. As we all know, parents have to make choices. Catholic education requires sacrifice. Parents tell us at times it may be difficult, but they also say it is so worth it! Actually, paying tuition is stewardship because children are God’s gifts and tuition gives back to God for a child’s educational development in a faith-based setting.

This school year, 42% of our families received $168,715 in financial aid and 75% of our families used our three credit programs to help lessen tuition. Tuition credits may be earned as soon as the child is born.

We Invite You to Contact Us

We invite you to consider faith-based education for your child or children. We invite you to visit for an hour or two while our schools are in session to view firsthand what is happening within our walls. We invite you to talk to parents who have children in our schools to hear what they have to say. We invite you to call.

We are faith-based and that’s what makes us different.
We invite you to consider the difference.
